IG Ukpaka – A seasoned and accomplished banker with over 28 years’ combined experience in the oil and banking sectors, IG Ukpaka is the Executive Chairman of Taurus Holdings – a company with vast interest in Real Estate (Taurus Shelters), Oil and Gas (Taurus Oil), Investment and Advisory (Taurus Capital) and Luxury brands (T-RJ4). Over the years, IG has demonstrated strong capacity to develop businesses, energize subordinates and carry stakeholders along towards the achievement of organizational goals.

After a brief stint with Agip Energy in Milan, IG commenced work with Nigerian Agip Oil Company upon his return to Nigeria in December 1988. His career trajectory in the banking industry commenced with All States Trust Bank Limited where he was appointed Senior Banking Officer. He later joined Diamond Bank in 1992 as Assistant Manager/ Branch Manager and subsequently rose to Manager Level in 1995, a reward for setting up the two most profitable branches of the bank.

In December 1996, IG joined Zenith Bank as Senior Manager and rose to the level of the General Manager in 2001. During his eight years in Zenith Bank, IG won awards for excellent performance in business development and effective leadership. Based on his performance and recommendation, IG was appointed into Executive Management level in Standard Trust Bank as Executive Director/ Managing Executive Officer of the South Directorate of the bank. IG was to move again in 2005 to take up appointment as Executive Director in Bank PHB. Here, he superintended various strategic business units in commercial, energy and corporate banking and acted on behalf of the CEO on various occasions. In 2010/2011, IG along with a team of professionals set up Taurus Holdings Limited and acts as the Executive Chairman.

On a scholarship from the ENI Group, IG with a first class degree in Economics from the University of Lagos (1986) proceeded for his Master’s programme in Business Economics (Economia Aziendale) at Eni Corporate University – Scuola Mattei, Milan, Italy. IG’s enterprise has been complimented by exposure to quality executive programmes in local and offshore institutions. These include but not limited to Lagos Business School, Executive Management Programme Insead and Havard Business School at various times.

A UK-trained professional with expertise in policy & strategy, performance management, corporate development, and public speaking, Nojeem deputises for the Executive Chairman across the chain of Taurus’ businesses. He is a 1986 Graduate of the University of Lagos with cognate experience in the housing & real estate, infrastructure and utility sectors.

With a perfect blend of public and private sector experience, he was appointed in 2003 as Strategic Commissioner (Housing) and Commissioning Board member at the City of London Corporation. In this role, Nojeem had overall responsibility for policy formulation, strategic lead, and delivery of the City of London’s multi-million Pound housing & support programme funded by the office of the UK Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM). A British citizen, he held this role for five years from where he was head-hunted back to his native country of Nigeria.

Nojeem took up an appointment in Nigeria in 2008 as Vice President (Executive Director) at First World Communities (Real Estate) Group, based in Lekki Peninsula, Lagos. Here, he had overall responsibility for the company’s corporate services and asset management functions.

A First Class Honours graduate of the University of Lagos, Nojeem has won academic and professional accolades – including the City of London award for ‘consistent demonstration of imagination and innovation’ and for becoming the first Nigerian to attain the fellowship of the UK Chartered Institute of Housing (FCIH). In 1986, he was awarded the University of Lagos ‘University Scholar’ status and granted scholarship for becoming the first student ever to graduate with a First Class in Political Science in the history of the University.

He completed his Master’s Degree in scholarship at the same University in 1988, before proceeding to the UK where a change in career path saw him complete a Post-graduate Diploma in Housing Policy, Management & Finance with the College of North-East London/Middlesex University. Nojeem also completed the Professional Qualification of the United Kingdom Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and, following a successful career, became a Fellow of the Institute in 2005.

He is the Imam of the Lighthouse Muslim Community Mosque in Lekki Peninsula, Lagos, and a member of the Da’wah Committee of Lekki Central Mosque.

Dr. Nnaemeka Onyeka Obiaraeri is a Group Executive Director of D-Taurus Holdings Limited and oversees the Business Development and Investments functions across the chain of businesses within the Taurus Group.

He also maintains leadership as the Managing Director of Taurus Capital & Advisory Limited, the Investment Banking business of the Taurus Group.

He is a Certified Financial Engineer/Investment Banking Executive with broad experience/skills in all aspects of Equities & Debts Origination, Structuring, Execution, Syndication and Distribution; Project Finance; Correspondent Banking; Structured Finance; Securities Trading &Treasury Management; Financial Advisory; Portfolio Management; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Financing and Private Equity Funds Management (Managed funds/portfolios in excess of USD65million).

Diverse and direct experience/involvement in Capital Raising exercises in excess of N500billion (US$3billion) for Corporate Organizations and Governments in the local and international capital markets. Nnaemeka has special interests in early-stage startups (Greenfields) as well as companies “on the bubble.”

He was instrumental to the setting up of Guardian Express Trusts Limited (Now a member of Pan African Capital Markets Limited). He has at different times held high profile positions in some notable financial institutions in Nigeria as Head, Capital Markets & Research, Legacy Guardian Express Bank PLC (Now Enterprise Bank Limited); Head, Asset & Wealth Management Group, Future View Financial Services Limited; Head, Project Finance and Private Equity Funds Management, Oceanic Bank International Plc (Now a member of the Eco Bank PLC).; Pioneer Head, Corporate Finance & Private Equity Funds Management, Bank PHB Plc (Now Keystone Bank Limited), Group Head, Capital Markets Division & Private Equity Funds Management, Bank PHB Plc, and Group Executive Director, Treasure Capital & Trusts Limited.

He is an alumnus of Abia State University, Nigeria, from where he graduated at the top of his Class and Faculty with a B. Sc. Honours Degree in Banking & Finance. He holds an advance degree, M.Sc. Corporate Governance from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. He is also an Alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Cambridge MA, USA. Nnaemeka is a Doctor of Business Administration and has participated in Key Financial Sector training of the Euro Money Training, UK. He was a member of the four man Federal Government of Nigeria delegation to South America in 2006 on a study tour of MSME financing in South America and also the Founder/Facilitator of the International Institute of Micro-Finance and Small Business (Africa/Middle East).

He is a change agent passionately committed to innovations and enhancement of good corporate governance in the Nigeria Financial System. Always willing to learn and abhors the word “Impossible”.

Engineer Haruna Beli parades a rich career in the oil & gas sector with over three decades’ experience in the downstream sub-sector covering operations, engineering and marketing. He specialises in lubricants (production & marketing) and fuel terminal operations.

Prior to his career in oil & gas, Haruna worked as head of fittings and machining at the Technical College, Nassarawa. A thirty-year career in Total Nigeria PLC saw him occupy varying roles, culminating in his appointment as head of depot operations.  Under his leadership, Total terminal in Apapa attained the ‘International Small Site Safety Rating System’ (ISSSRS – level 4). This is the highest level in Total worldwide. He is a Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON)-trained auditor in Quality Management System.

Upon retirement from Total Nigeria PLC, Haruna joined AA Rano where he spent two years as General Manager in charge of Terminals – from where he joined Taurus Oil & Gas as Executive Director in charge of operations.

Engineer Haruna Yusuf Beli is a 1983 graduate of Kaduna Polytechnic with HND in Mechanical Engineering (Plants Maintenance).

He has attended courses in France, Britain and South Africa.

Emma has over three decades’ post-graduation experience in the construction industry, with vast experience in the area of civil works and community relations.

He worked with Manuel Tek Services Ltd. as founder and CEO – a civil construction firm with a group of highly-experienced engineers, involved in civil construction work across the Niger Delta region, mostly Delta and Rivers States, before moving into Taurus Oil & Gas Ltd. He has built over 20 branches for banks across the nation.

He is an HND graduate in Agricultural Engineering and Farm Mechanism and oversees all construction projects, maintenance of assets and community relations for Taurus Oil & Gas.

Ojong Bassey – Bassey is a professional Shipper with over 14 years’ cognate experience in shipping, logistics, trading and documentation. A Graduate of the University of Calabar, he started his shipping and logistics career in the Dry Cargo and container shipping business with P & O Nedlloyd – a multi-national world’s 3rd largest container and logistics shipping organization in 2001, where he was the pioneer operations supervisor for Port Harcourt, Calabar and Warri ports, which later was acquired by AP Moller Maersk.

He has also worked across key Oil and Gas trading and logistics organizations, including HUK Energy Ltd, Conoil Plc where he underwent the management training program in the various aspect of the petroleum trading business, including, but not limited to trading and procurement, logistics, marketing and petroleum accounting.

He also worked at Stonebridge Oil and Maritime services Ltd where he was in charge of business development, operations/logistics, chartering and trading. He joined Taurus Oil and Gas Ltd in April 2012 as a senior manager, Trading and Strategic Operations which saw the organization develop its Ultra-Modern Petroleum Storage Depot and Jetty in Koko Town, Delta State.

He has consulted for some Oil and Gas Organizations such as Sahara – SO Energy (2011- 2012) Rainoil Ltd (2011) Ibafon Oil (2012) Archetype Oil and Gas Ltd (2011 – 2012)

He is currently the Assistant General Manager for Strategic Operations and Trading. He holds a Master’s Degree in Transport Management from Ladoke Akintola University, a PGD from Chartered Institute of shipping, a certificate in HSE and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of shipping and The Lagos Business School (LBS)

He is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Shipping and Transport).

Bassey is an Indigene of Yala – Nkum Community of Ikom LGA in Cross River state.

Mercel is a highly successful management executive and competent team player, with over a decade’s experience in maritime administration, petroleum trading, shipping, logistics and a substantial technical experience in petroleum inspection, Oil and Gas quantity assurance, loss analysis, recovery and insurance claims. He is also vast in commercial, trading strategy and import financing.

Mercel started his career at E-Paul Energy Services Limited as a graduate trainee and later moved to Standard Superintendent where he worked as a senior petroleum officer. Mercel later joined Sopetra Energy as the coordinator – shipping and logistics and later move to International Maritime and Shipping as manager – business development and operations. He was General Manager, Watergate Petroleum Limited between 2014 and 2015.

He has equally consulted for some energy, oil and gas companies such as Lloyds Energy (2011), Crusteam Ltd (2011), Stallionaire Nigeria Ltd (2012) and Bovis Energy (2013-2014).

Mercel is currently senior manager, Operations and Logistics at Taurus Oil and Gas Limited. He holds a first degree in Maritime Transport Management and Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri and Masters in Public and International Affairs (MPIA) from the University of Lagos. He is also a member of Global leadership Institute (GLI) and an affiliate member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). He has attended various management and leadership training within and outside the shores of Nigeria. Mercel is a transformational leader with core interest in business strategy and stability.

Ben oversees the corporate services functions of Taurus Oil & Gas Ltd.

 

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar. He also has an HND from Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana, Afikpo Ebonyi State. He has varied experience spanning over 11 years in Investment Banking with strong bias for Corporate Finance and Financial Advisory Services. He started his Investment banking career with FBN Merchant Bankers (Now FBN Capital Ltd) in 1999 and left in June 2005 as Executive Assistant.

Benjamin joined Oceanic Bank International as an Officer in 2005 and left in 2007 as the Head of Capital Market Unit.  He was instrumental to the setting up of Oceanic Investment Banking Department and Bank PHB Investment Banking Department.  He joined Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank) in 2007 as an Assistant Manager. He left Bank PHB in 2010 and joined Treasure Capital & Trusts Limited as Manager. He was also instrumental in the setting up of Issuing House/Financial Advisory units of Treasure Capital and left to join Cowry Asset Management Ltd as Head of Corporate Finance in 2011.

Mr. Nwokoji has vast experience in banking and non-banking financial markets. He has handled many offers in the Primary Capital markets for different corporate bodies and multinationals and assisted them in successfully raising long term funds in excess of N100 billion. He has also been involved in Fund Administration activities as he played key roles in the setting up of Oceanic Vintage Fund. He has attended several courses/seminars on credit and investment banking. Mr. Nwokoji is married with children.

Femi Williams is an accounting graduate with over two decades’ experience on depot management, of the downstream sector of the oil & gas industry.

He graduated from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (formerly Ondo State Polytechnic,Owo in Ondo state). He has worked with various organizations among which are Elf Nigeria limited, African Petroleum PLC, Total Nigeria limited, T-TIME Petroleum Services and Liquid Bulk limited.

Femi has served in different and complimentary capacities, including operations, logistics and transportation, supply and distribution, marketing and depot management before joining Taurus Oil & Gas Limited. He is also an associate member of various professional bodies including Institute of Chartered Economics of Nigeria (ICEN) and Certified institute of Purchasing & Supply Administrator of Nigeria (CIPSAN). He is also a Certified Safety Personnel.

Kenechukwu Nwosu is a strategic Human Resources Practitioner with a comprehensive understanding of Human Resources Management, Organizational development and Change management; a self – motivated individual possessing demonstrated leadership skills who has effectively championed HR Strategy development and implementation.

He started his professional career in Financial Control, Treasury and finally settled for his passion- Human Capital Management. Kene has worked with Manny Bank, Assurance Bank and Diamond Bank, in the following leadership capacities of Human Resources Management: Head Recruitment & Selection, Head, Resourcing & Man power planning/Development, Head Performance Management, Head Employee & Industrial relations, Head HR, Shared Services, Head, Talent Acquisition .

Kene is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development United Kingdom (MCIPD) as well as an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Management (ANIM). He holds degrees in Accountancy from the Enugu State University of Science & Technology and a Master of Science degree from the Aberdeen Business School – The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland.

Chimezie Ezenwaka is the Financial Manager of Taurus Oil and Gas Limited with responsibility for upholding strong financial management, operational strategy and accountability while providing timely, accurate, and reliable

financial information and enhancing internal control. He is Result-oriented, with strong academic background and professional experience in risk and financial management, financial markets, consumer and corporate credit management. Offering comprehensive skills, innovative solutions and a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding desired objectives.

Prior to joining Taurus Oil and Gas Limited, Chimezie was responsible for Corporate Financial Reporting, forecasting, planning and financial analysis as well as competitive analysis and bench-marking at Fidelity Bank Plc. He has extensive operational and financial experience, cost management and transaction support role at the Bank that span over half a decade of service.

Chimezie obtained a Master’s Degree in Finance from University of Lagos and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is also an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Solomon is a graduate of Accountancy from Delta State University, Abraka. He graduated in 1999. He also holds an MBA from Rivers State University of Science and Technology graduating in 2005.

With a proven ability to manage and maintain the highest Quality Assurance standards whilst also minimizing costs, Solomon worked for Metro Ad Solution Limited – an advertising agency company – as Business Development Manager between 2011- 2016.

Patrick Ifeanyichukwu Okafor is a seasoned fire safety manager with over 20 years working experience on fire safety management of both downstream and upstream sector of the Oil & Gas industry. His career in Health & Safety has taken him to various organizations such as the old Bendel State Fire Prevention Service, NNPC-PPMC, Everest Oil and Ascon Oil & Gas.  He has a record of no major fire outbreak in facilities where he managed and still working painstakingly to maintain the record.

He is a member of Fire Protection Association of Nigeria, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and Lagos State Emergency Rescue Team.

Patrick holds a Diploma in desktop publishing and is happily married with children.

Dipo is a professional preventive maintenance engineer with eight years’ cognate experience in instrumentation, power, machinery and metering system in the downstream sector.  He is a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro,

Ogun State where he studied Electrical Engineering (power and machines option). He also holds a Master’s Degree in Energy and Petroleum Economics at Delta State University Abraka.

He started his career with Alcetec Nigeria Limited, his core functions includes: project management, conceptual and feasibility studies, site selection, project development, construction management and maintenance services. He later joined Integrated Oil and Gas Limited as Depot Engineer in 2011.

He is a member of the Institute of Professional Manager and Administrator (MIPMA), Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Project Management (CIPM), Associate Member of the Institute of Loan and Risk Management (ILRM) and Graduate Member of Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).

Andrew is responsible for the Information Technology support, network management and database administration for Taurus Oil and Gas Ltd. A highly experienced officer, Andrew came on board with years of experience in information security analysis, software installations, networking among other computer programs.

A highly certified officer, he has professional certifications in Lead Penetration Tester (PECB), Lead Algosec Security User/ Administration (Algosec) and Lead Quality Manager for Oil and Gas ISO 29001 (PECB).

He started his career with Computer Warehouse Group, Nigeria, and has also worked with other companies such as Numeric Technologies LTD, Jacliz Nigeria Ltd, Lagos, and Office Machines Nigeria Ltd, Abuja.

Prior to joining Taurus Oil & Gas Limited, he was an Information Security Analyst with Numeric Technologies Ltd.

Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security Science from the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
